Nick Gordon, who was the partner of Whitney Houston’s late daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, has lost a wrongful death lawsuit filed by her estate.

Brown, 22, died in July 2015, six months after being found unresponsive in a bath by Gordon and a friend at her home in Atlanta.

An autopsy found drug intoxication and the immersion of her face in the water contributed to her death.

A judge in Georgia ruled Gordon legally responsible by default after neither he or his lawyer attended a hearing on Friday. It was his second missed court date.
