Chipotle Faces Class-Action Lawsuit From Customers Over Misleading ‘300 Calorie’ Burrito! See How Many Calories It’s REALLY Packing!

Damn, Chipotle can’t escape controversy these days!

Following numerous scandals involving contaminated food and norovirus scares, the popular chain is facing backlash AGAIN due to a misleading ad about their chorizo burrito.

Three angry Los Angeles residents claim they were misled by a sign advertising the popular burrito as only “300 calories”. The trio of customers all bought the dish under the false pretense of the burrito being healthy and low-calorie.

While we’re a little confused as to why anyone would think an overstuffed burrito full of “perfectly grilled spicy chicken and pork sausage in a burrito with white rice, black beans, fresh tomato salsa, and a sprinkle of cheese” is a light treat, we guess these customers really took the chain’s ad to heart.

Now the three pissed off consumers have filed a class-action lawsuit for the duress they experienced after chowing on a burrito that, as it turns out, contains roughly 1,165 calories, almost quadruple the amount of what was originally advertised.

The lawsuit went on to argue:

“… consumers are lulled into a false belief that the items they are eating are healthier than they really are.”

Well, we have to admit the ad was pretty confusing.

While Chipotle didn’t respond to the legal headache with an official statement, they did tweet out some messages confirming the 300-calories referenced the chorizo ITSELF rather the burrito as a whole.

So, do YOU think Chipotle deserves this lawsuit ?
