Harbor Freight Customers May Get Refunds After Class Action Lawsuit

Harbor Freight, a national tool and equipment retailer with more than 750 stores nationwide, has settled a class-action lawsuit which could get shoppers up to 30 percent back on their purchases. If you made a purchase at Harbor Freight between April 8, 2011 and Dec. 15, 2016, you could receive benefits from the settlement.

A court granted preliminary approval of the settlement on Dec. 15, 2016. If the court grants final approval – which will be heard on July 7 – and a shopper files a valid and timely claim form, he or she may be entitled to receive up to 20 percent of their purchase in cash, or 30 percent of it in the form of a gift card.
