ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque couple has joined at least eight other passengers in filing a lawsuit against Southwest Airlines over a deadly flight. The Santa Fe New Mexican identifies the couple as Kevin and Andrea Nelson.

The suit is in response to the April 2018 flight when a failed engine shattered a plane’s window mid-flight, killing Albuquerque resident Jennifer Riordan. The New Mexican, says the Nelsons are seeking damages from Southwest, Boeing and the engine manufacturer for injuries and trauma as a result of the incident.

The companies would not comment on the suit.
