US artist Melissa Ferrick is seeking $200 million from the streaming giant.

A second songwriter has sued Spotify, accusing the streaming service of copyright infringement.

As the Los Angeles Times reports, Massachusetts-based artist Melissa Ferrick is accusing Spotify of uploading her music to the service without properly licensing her work.

Ferrick is seeking $200 million damages on behalf of all songwriters who have suffered copyright infringement at the hands of Spotify, which was recently hit by a similar lawsuit from David Lowery, the frontman of Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven.

According to Ferrick’s complaint, her songs have been streamed “approximately one million times” since they were made available.

The lawsuit comes at a difficult time for Spotify, which has been forced to adapt as artists like Taylor Swift withhold their music from the streaming giant.

In December 2015 it was reported that the Swedish company was considering releasing some albums to paid subscribers only.
