Lawsuit Against Daily Stormer Is Stuck; Founder Can’t Be Served Papers

A Jewish real estate agent’s anti-harassment lawsuit against the owner of the racist Daily Stormer website hasn’t progressed at all, despite being filed nearly four months ago. The reason for the stall, the plaintiff’s lawyers say, is that Daily Stormer publisher Andrew Anglin simply can’t be found. They’ve tried, but failed, to serve him papers at four different Ohio addresses.


Supreme Court Mulls Case That Would Trim Fees in Class Actions

The U.S. Supreme Court is expected to decide as early as next week whether to hear the appeal of a Sixth Circuit decision upholding a class-action settlement that distributed only $1.6 million to consumers but yielded $2.4 million for the attorneys who represented them. Objectors and the attorneys general of 17 states urge the court to take the case and hand down tighter rules on how lower courts consider the value of a settlement for calculating legal fees. …


Glassdoor Sued for Email Gaffe

Glassdoor is facing a class-action lawsuit after the company review site accidentally revealed the email addresses of more than half a million of its users. Glassdoor issued an email update that mistakenly included customer contact information. Customers’ email addresses were visible in the cc line of the email, as opposed to being confidentially
hidden in the bcc line.
