The state’s top court is wading into the controversy surrounding the shooting of “Geist” the dog. In arguments Monday, the Utah Supreme Court considered whether Sean Kendall should be required to post a bond before he proceeds with a $2 million lawsuit against Salt Lake City police who shot his dog. At issue is a unique Utah law that requires a bond if a person tries to sue a cop.


Judge Dismisses Utah Man’s Lawsuit Against Taylor Swift

A Utah man sued pop star Taylor Swift, claiming negligence on behalf of her agents after he wrote her a song and it was ignored. Russell Greer presented his case in small claims court Thursday evening in Salt Lake City. Greer says he spent a lot of time and money to write a song for Swift and her agents never passed it along to her.


Navajo Nation Wants Mormon Church Lawsuit in Tribal Court

The Navajo Nation wants a lawsuit against the Mormon Church over the alleged sexual abuse of four Navajo children heard in tribal court.
