Washington D.C. [U.S.A.], Feb 25 (ANI): Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard has said that she is feeling relaxed and happy after her lawsuit settlement with the United States Tennis Association (USTA) that runs the US Open.
Bouchard took to Twitter to say, “After 2.5 years, my lawsuit against the USTA is finally over.”
The 23-year-old recently won the liability phase of the trial where she testified about suffering a head injury after slipping on a wet locker room floor at the 2015 US Open due to dim lights.
The Canadian sued the USTA after six weeks of her slip and also pulled out from all the events of the tournament and also did not participate in any match for the rest of that season.
The jury found the USTA bore 75 percent of the responsibility for Bouchard’s fall, reported the New York Times.

“The jury found the USTA as negligent and liable for the accident. After the verdict, the USTA and I came to a settlement agreement,” Bouchard said in a statement on Twitter.
“I feel happy, relieved and vindicated,” she added. (ANI)
