The most recent lawsuit was filed this week by Ulta customer Meghan Devries in Illinois, where the company is based. The suit claims the company “has a routine practice of repackaging and resealing beauty products that have been previously purchased, used, and returned… before returning those used products to its shelves to be purchased by other consumers.” Less than a month ago, a Los Angeles woman filed a similar lawsuit, reports the Los Angeles Times. Monroe County has joined more than 100 counties in the U.S. in a lawsuit against the companies that distribute, market and create opioid drugs.
