A former Scranton housing inspector has appealed a federal judge’s ruling that dismissed her political retaliation and gender discrimination lawsuit. Patricia Jennings-Fowler contends U.S. District Judge Malachy Mannion erred when he ruled she failed to present sufficient evidence to support her claims. Fort Worth Council to Vote on Settling Chesapeake Lawsuit

The Fort Worth City Council on Tuesday will vote on settling a lawsuit in which it claimed Chesapeake Energy Corporation cheated taxpayers out of millions of dollars in royalties for natural gas it drilled under city land. Pastor Who Accused Whole Foods of Slur on Cake Drops Lawsuit

A gay Texas pastor who sued Whole Foods alleging that a cake he bought from the grocer had an anti-gay slur written on it in icing has dropped his lawsuit. Jordan Brown of Austin issued an apology on Monday, saying he was “wrong to pursue this matter and use the media to perpetuate this story.” According to the website for Brown’s church, he is a Pittsburgh native.
